GMMI Benefit Updates (Since 2012)
Worldwide – Area 3 coverage
“Worldwide” is Area 3 coverage. This means that you have overseas medical insurance to cover you everywhere in the world.
- Specifically, for time spent inside the U.S., you have up to six months of coverage in the U.S. in a 12 month period.
- For U.S. residents and U.S. citizens, you can have up to 30 days of coverage in the U.S. prior to your departure from the U.S.
Treatment received in the USA and Canada
Outpatient:
- PPO Provider: Reduce Deductible 50% (to a maximum reduction of $2500). No coinsurance.
- Non PPO Provider: Subject to Full Deductible and 80/20 – $5,000 coinsurance
Inpatient – Emergency Treatment:
- PPO Provider: Reduce Deductible 50% (to a maximum reduction of $2500). 100% coinsurance
- Non PPO Provider: Subject to Full Deductible and 80/20 – $5000 coinsurance
Inpatient- Non-Emergency Treatment:
- Medical Concierge Provider: Reduce Deductible 50% (to a maximum reduction of $2500). 100% coinsurance
- Non PPO Provider: Subject to Full Deductible. 100% coinsurance
- Non PPO Provider: Subject to Full Deductible and 80/20 – $5000 coinsurance
Worldwide excluding – Area 2 coverage
Worldwide Excluding is Area 2 coverage. Area 2 specifically excludes coverage in: U.S., Canada, China, Hong Kong, Japan, Macau, Singapore, and Taiwan.
Out of Area Treatment: Limited to 30 days per Insured Person per Period of Insurance for Accident or Emergency Treatment only.
* Treatment in the US must be received from a Physician, Hospital or other healthcare provider within the Preferred Provider Network.

Global Daily indemnity
Silver, Gold, Platinum: $100 per day at an annual premium of $100 a unit per insured between the ages of 31days and 69 years. You have the option to purchase up to two units per insured.
Family Matters® Maternity Program (through ACM)
- Designed to provide enrollees with educational information on their pregnancy and suggestions for a healthy lifestyle for the mom and family
- Initial pregnancy assessment – to identify potentially high risk pregnancies
- Placement in the Case Management Program – if considered a high-risk pregnancy
- Complimentary copy of the book “What to Expect When You’re Expecting”
- Additional pre and post-natal care information for the mother and expectant family
- To take advantage of this benefit, client has to notify us in their 1st trimester of pregnancy or as soon as they can.
On Bronze, Silver, Gold Plans: Maternity insurance is no longer an option.
On Platinum: Maternity insurance is included. There is a 24 month waiting period to conception, when mother and father do not apply together. If both parents apply together, the waiting period is 12 months.
International Life Insurance – optional
Optional international Term Life Insurance is available on all of the GMMI overseas medical insurance plans. Here is how it works as units.
For ages:
31 days to 18 years – $5,000
19 to 29 – $75,000
30 to 39 – $50,000
40 to 44 – $35,000
45 to 49 – $25,000
50 to 54 – $20,000
55 to 59 – $15,000
60 to 64 – $10,000
65 to 69 – $7,500
Adults can have up to two units of international term life insurance; each sum of coverage is considered one unit. For one unit, it is $240 in annual premium. If you go with two units for adults, it is $420 annually, the second unit being $180.
Children can have only one unit which is $100 in annual premium.
