Athletic sports coverage for injuries incurred during amateur, club, Intramural, Interscholastic, Intercollegiate activities. Such as archery, tennis, swimming, cross country, track, volleyball golf, ballet, basketball, cheerleading, equestrian, fencing, field hockey, football (no division 1), gymnastics, hockey, karate, lacrosse, polo, rowing, rugby and soccer. Any athletic sport not listed is excluded from this policy unless the activity is noncontact and engaged in by you solely for leisure, recreation, entertainment, or fitness purposes only.

Persons up to age 69 are eligible for all plan amounts
Persons age 70 to 79 are eligible for $50,000 or $100,000
People age 80 to 99 and over are eligible for the $50,000 plan only

This plan does not cover USA.

Most recreational sports are covered under this accident insurance for extreme sports plan as well as general travel overseas (see list below). It can be used for general travel, or travel including recreational or team sports.

This is one of our top international accident insurance for extreme sports recommendations for interscholastic, intercollegiate, intramural, amateur and club sports such as soccer or rugby.

Unlike other accident insurance for extreme sports plans, the Trawick Safe Travels plan offers coverage for teams and individuals playing Amateur, Club, Intramural, Interscholastic, and Intercollegiate sports!

  • Interscholastic, intercollegiate, intramural, amateur and club sports, but not full or semi-professional

Unexpected reccurence of a pre-exisiting condition benefit

This plan shall pay, up to $20,000 for those up to age 65 and $10,000 for those age 65 and over. This is subject to the chosen Deductible and Coinsurance for Covered Expenses resulting from a sudden, unexpected recurrence of a Pre-Existing Condition while traveling outside the Covered Person’s Home Country. However, this benefit does not include coverage for known, scheduled, required, or expected medical care, drugs or treatments existent or necessary prior to the Effective Date of coverage.

 

PRE-EXISTING CONDITION DEFINITION

“Pre-Existing Condition” means any injury, illness, sickness, disease, or other physical, medical, mental or nervous disorder, condition or ailment that, with reasonable medical certainty, existed at the time of application or at any time during the 36 months prior to the Effective Date of this insurance. Whether or not previously manifested, symptomatic or known, diagnosed, Treated, or disclosed to the Company prior to the effective Date. And including any and all subsequent, chronic or recurring complications or consequences related thereto or resulting or arising therefrom. This specifically includes but is not limited to any medical condition, Sickness, Injury , Illness, disease, Mental Illness or Mental Nervous Disorder, for which medical advice, diagnosis, care or Treatment was recommended or received or for which a reasonably prudent person would have sought Treatment during the 36 month period immediately preceding the Effective Date of Coverage under this Certificate. A Pre-Existing Condition which is a chronic or congenital condition or that gradually becomes worse over time and/or known, scheduled, required, or expected medical care, drugs or Treatments existing or necessary prior to the Effective Date are not considered to be an Acute Onset.

If you are injured or ill and the local medical providers cannot treat your dire medical condition, the insurance company will arrange to evacuate you to the nearest adequate medical facility for treatment. Someone must contact the insurance company in the event of a potential medical evacuation.
